Friends, in accordance with our every-two-weeks schedule for these bonus posts, here is my translation of Day Three of Creation (Gen 1:9–13) with links to all the relevant posts on the blog. Lucky us, this is the day on which God “saw that it was good” twice! All these posts have been unlocked so they’re free for everyone to read. Comments to this post are open to everyone, so you can let me know about any problems. Thanks!
Day One of Creation
Day Two of Creation
Here’s the Day Three introductory post. Reminder:
I generally post in the order of the Hebrew words, so the links may not always be consecutive in English.
Some posts cover more than one verse and may be linked twice.
Gen 1:9 God thought, Let the water that is under the sky gather into one place so that the dry land can be seen. And it was so. 10 God named the dry land Earth, and the gathering of water he named Seas. God saw that it was good. 11 God thought, Let the earth sprout greenery, plants producing seed, fruit trees making fruit of their species with their own seeds in them, on the earth. And it was so. 12 The earth brought forth greenery, plants producing seed of their own species, fruit trees making fruit of their own species with their own seeds in them. And God saw that it was good. 13 There was an evening and then a morning, a third day.
