What to Expect

I’m expecting to launch this newsletter on September 25th, 2022 – the eve of the Jewish New Year. There will be some introductory posts before then to prepare for a running start when we go live for real.

The first series I am planning for the newsletter is an extremely close reading of Genesis 1 (and the beginning of Genesis 2). We’ll be looking at biblical history, literature, and language – all the things that you don’t have time to think about if you’re reading the Bible during a worship service.

I’m still deciding what to offer paid subscribers. There will be more about that when the time comes.

In the meantime, you can explore my WordPress site, also called The Bible Guy. I’ll continue to write on that site from time to time as well, and (of course) it will remain completely free.
